Wilderness advocate battle

Peter Dykstra was one of the main voices in a recent lead article in Pacific NW, the Seattle Times' Sunday magazine. Peter discussed his views on conflicts arising from diminishing access to wilderness areas from increased flood damage to vital roads and the lawsuits being used to keep them from being rebuilt. The article featured Peter's thoughts on how increasing lack of access is making it harder to connect newer, more diverse constituents to our public lands. It also mentioned Peter's work in emerging collaborative approaches to conservation which can avoid costly litigation and build new alliances for both economic and ecological sustainability.
