Partner Billy Plauché has been invited speak at the Natural Resource Damages (NRD) Conference March 12 &13, 2015. The conference will be held at the Thurman Arnold Building located at 555 Twelfth Street, NW in Washington, DC 20004. Specifically, Billy will present on the topic of NRD Litigation: Lessons from Recent Cases on March 12th at 10:00 am EST.
Natural resource damages (NRD) claims seek restoration and compensation for natural resource injuries resulting from oil spills and releases of hazardous substances. These claims are different from cleanup and response cost claims by EPA and State environmental agencies and they implicate a different set of issues. The Natural Resources Damages conference will cover the substantial legal, scientific, economic and policy issues facing Trustees, companies and others, including several cross-cutting issues surrounding Natural Resource Damages. It will feature a nationally recognized faculty including high-ranking government policy-makers, senior corporate in-house counsel, private practitioners with notable expertise in developing effective strategies in NRD litigation, and best-in-class experts including environmental scientists and economists.
